7 Monthly Renaissance January 2023 Qur’ ā nic Exegesis S ū rah al-Anbiy ā ’ (2) Amin Ahsan Islahi Section IV: Verses (34-47) Readers may look up verse 8 earlier. It was stated there that the adversaries made fun of Mu ḥ ammad (sws): how could he be God’s messenger when he was a human being? He also had no distinction over them in wealth and status. They would further contend that if he had to make them accept his status as a messenger of God, then he was to show them a sign that proved his veracity. In the foregoing verses, an answer is given to this demand. Now in the succeeding verses, the Prophet (sws) is being assured that he should ignore their mockery. The time is approaching when they will see the veracity of every claim he is making and all their arrogance will vanish. Readers may proceed to study these verses in the light of this background. Text and Translation ﻣﻦﻗﺒﻠﻚ ﻟﺨﻠﺪ ٍۡۡۡۡۡوﻣﺎﺟﻌﻠﻨﺎ ﻟﺒ ٰ۠ۡۡۡ ﻓﺎ ﻦ ﻣﺖ ﻓﻬﻢ ﻟﺨﻠﺪون ﴿ ٣٤ ﻔﺲذآ ﻘﺔ + ٍۡ﴾-ﻞ ۡۡﻟﻤﻮت ﻓﺘﻨﺔ 34 و ﻟﺨ ﻢ ﺑﺎﻟ 6 ًۡۡۡۡۡۡ و ﻧﺒﻠﻮ ۡۡۡ و ﻟﻴﻨﺎ ﺗﺮﺟﻌﻮن﴿ ٣٥﴾ و ن => ٰۡۡۤۡو ذ ر ك ﻟﺬﻳﻦﻛ ًۡﻳﺘﺨﺬوﻧﻚ ﻵﻹﻫﺰو ﻟﻬﺘﻜﻢ J ٰٰۡۡۡ ﻫﺬ ﻟﺬي ﻳﺬ L ون﴿ => ﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦﻫﻢﻛ J ٰٰۡۡۡۡۡوﻫﻢ ﺑﺬ ٣٦﴾ ﺧﻠﻖ ٍۡۡۡﻵﻹﻧﺴﺎن ﻣﻦ ﻋﺠﻞ ﻓﻶﻹ ﺗﺴﺘﻌﺠﻠﻮن UV ٰٰۡۡۡۡۡۡ ﺳﺎورﻳﻜﻢ ﻳ ﴿ ٣٧﴾ ﻫﺬ ﻟﻮﻋﺪ ن UV ﻘﻮﻟﻮن ﻣ Y ٰٰۡۡۡۡۡو ﴿ Z4 ٰۡۡۡﻛﻨﺘﻢ ﺻﺪﻗ ٣٨﴾ ﻵﻹ ﻳﻜﻔﻮن ﻋﻦ وﺟﻮﻫﻬﻢ ﻟﻨﺎر و ﻵﻹ ﻋﻦ Z4 و ﺣ => ﻌﻠﻢ ﻟﺬﻳﻦ ﻛ Y ۡۡۡۡۡۡۡۡۡﻟﻮ ۡۡۡۡۡﻇﻬﻮرﻫﻢ و ﻵﻹ ﻫﻢ ﻳﻨ] ون﴿ ٣٩﴾ ﻐﺘﺔ ﻓﺘ a ًۡۡۡۡۡﺑﻞﺗﺎﺗﻴﻬﻢ ۡۡۡۡۡۡﺒﻬﺘﻬﻢ ﻓﻶﻹ ﻳﺴﺘﻄﻴﻌﻮنردﻫﺎ و ﻵﻹ ﻫﻢ ون ﴿ =d ۡۡﻳﻨ ٤٠ و ﻣﻨﻬﻢ ﻣﺎ -ﺎﻧﻮ ﺑﻪ g ٍٖۡۡۡۡۡۡۡۡۡ﴾و ﻟﻘﺪ ﺳﺘﻬﺰئﺑﺮﺳﻞﻣﻦﻗﺒﻠﻚﻓﺤﺎق ﺑﺎﻟﺬﻳﻦﺳ ۡۡۡﻳﺴﺘﻬﺰءون ﴿ ٤١﴾ ﻢ ﺑﺎﻟﻴﻞ و ﻟﻨﻬﺎر ﻣﻦ 6 ﻠﺆ o ۡۡۡۡۡﻗﻞ ﻣﻦ ﻳ ٰۡﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ رﺑﻬﻢ J ۡۡۡۡۡ ﺑﻞ ﻫﻢ ﻋﻦ ذ
