Ḥ ad ī th 44 Monthly Renaissance September 2021 Mu ḥ ammad Anas ibn M ā lik Nubay ṭ ibn ‘Amr ‘Abd al-Ra ḥ m ā n ibn Ab ī al-Rij ā l al- Ḥ akam ibn M ū s ā ‘Abdull ā h ibn Mu ḥ ammad ibn A ḥ mad ibn ‘Al ī al-Mad ī n ī Ḥ anbal al- Ṭ abar ā n ī Nubay ṭ ibn ‘Umar is majh ū l al-‘ayn because the only person to narrate from him is ‘Abd al-Ra ḥ m ā n ibn Ab ī al-Rij ā l. 2 (2) َ َ ﺣ َ ﺛَ ﺪ ﻨ ﺎ ﻋﺜْﻤَﺎن ﺑْ َ ﻦ À ﺷَﻴْﺒَﺔَ ﺛَ R َ ﺎ ﻨ ْ ﻤَ ﺳ ْ ﺎﻋ ﻴ ﺑْ ﻞ َ ﻦ ﻋَﻴَﺎشٍ ﻋ ْ ﻋﻤَﺎرَةَ ﺑْ ﻦ َ ﻦ Ë 1 َ َ ﻳ َ ﺔ ﻋ ﻦْ َ ﻧَﺲﺑْ َ ﻦ ﻣَﺎﻟﻚٍ ﻋ ْ ﻋﻤَﺮَ ﺑْ ﻦ َ ﻦ ﻟْﺨَﻄَﺎبﻋ ْ َ ﻦ ﻟﻨ ¶ b َ ﺻ َ˜R ٰ ﷲ َ ﻋ َ ْ ﻠ ﻴ وَ ﻪ َ َ ﺳ َ ﻢَ ﻠ َy ﻧَﻪ َ َ ﺎن C ل ﻮْ ﻘ َ َ ﻦْ ﻣ ﺻ َ˜R S ﻣَﺴْﺠﺪٍ ﺟَﻤَﺎﻋَﺔً R َ َﻌْ ƒْ ر َ ﻟَ َﻔﻮْ ¦ ﻴْﻠَﺔً ﻵَﻹ َx ﺗﻪ ﻟﺮَ?ْﻌَﺔ ﻵْﻻو R ﻣ ﻦْ ﺻَﻶَﻹة ﻟْﻌﺸَﺎء ﻛَﺘَﺐَ ﷲٰ ﻟَ ﺑ ﻪ َ ﻬ ﺎﻋﺘْﻘًﺎﻣ ْ ﻟﻨَﺎر ﻦ ‘Umar ibn al-Kha ṭṭā b reported that the Prophet said: “He who offers forty prayers in congregation in a mosque such that he does not miss the first rak‘at behind the prayer leader, God renders him secure from the fire.” 3 Following is the schematic illustration of the isn ā d of this 2.
