www.javedahmadghamidi.com www.al-mawrid.org Selections from the Qur’ ā n 39 ًًًٰٰۡﻗﻴﻶﻹ ﺳﻠﻤﺎﺳﻠﻤﺎ . )٥٦ :١ - ٢٦( Remember when that which is to happen shall happen. There is no falsity in its happening. It is one which elevates and one which relegates; when the earth will be totally shaken, and the mountains will be crushed to pieces becoming dispersed dust. And you shall be divided into three groups [on that day]. One group then shall be of the companions of the right hand; so what majesty will the companions of the right hand have ! The second group shall be of the companions of the left hand; so what a wretched fate shall befall th e c ompanions of the left hand! As for the foremost, they shall be the foremost. They shall be the favoured ones in gardens of delight: most among them will be from the early generations but only a few from the later ones. On jewelled couches shall they recline face to face. Boys who will never age shall wait on them with bowls and ewers and cups of purest wine that will neither cause any head spin nor take away their sanity; and fruits which they would relish and the flesh of the birds they desire. And for them shall be large-eyed houris like hidden pearls: a reward for their deeds. There they shall hear no absurd talk, no sinful speech. Only greetings and congratulations everywhere.
